Bio: Ted is a leading digital strategist, entrepreneur and futurist. For more than 30 years, he has been a leader in the transformation of American healthcare, designing organizations of the future and creating businesses for the next generation of care. He currently is leading the introduction of Babylon Health into the US market. Babylon Health is an AI supported digital primary care platform that has over 35 million users worldwide. Its mission is to put affordable and accessible health care into the hands of every person on the planet.
He has spent 20 years leading healthcare strategy divisions of major consulting firms. Over that time, he has been a leading partner at Booz (now Strategy&), Oliver Wyman and Huron. In that capacity he has led the transformation and development of over 150 healthcare organizations, ranging from prominent Academic Medical Centers, to national integrated health care delivery systems, to international insurance companies.
As an executive in the industry he was known as an innovator and change agent. He was the second Chief Innovation Officer in the entire industry. In that capacity, he created over 250 new companies and initiatives, funded them with nearly $2 billion in capital and was a founding member of the Innovation Learning Network. As an entrepreneur he has participated as a funder, Board Member and leader of six startups.
Ted received his MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, graduated from Washington University and was a 1981 Coro Fellow. He is an active member of his community and sits on the Boards of Wheels for Humanity, United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, The 18th Street Arts Center, and Partners in Care.
