Bio: Stan Schofield is President of NorDx, a regional laboratory corporation that supports an integrated delivery system at MaineHealth. Their services cover multiple hospital sites, physician practices, and long-term care facilities in the tri-state region of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Schofield also serves at the MaineHealth System level as a Senior Vice President. He’s also the Managing Principal of The Compass Group, a 503 (c) six-trade association comprised of 29 laboratory corporations associated with the premier integrated healthcare systems in the country.
Prior to taking his current position, Schofield was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Cedars-Sinai Laboratory Services in Los Angeles, California. He has also served as Administrator of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch while holding faculty positions in the School of Medicine and Allied Health Professions. At the University of Texas, Schofield had operational responsibilities for the Children’s Hospital, the Pediatric Practice Plan, and the greater Primary Care Network.
Schofield is past President of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association and has been in senior leadership roles at the association for more than ten years. He has been responsible for association operations, collaborations, financial performance, and strategic planning in moving the association forward during challenging healthcare times.
Schofield currently serves as an advisor and consultant to numerous biotechnology, financial, investment, and healthcare organizations where he develops successful strategies for managed care, new technologies, integration, and laboratory operations. He is frequently asked to speak nationally and internationally on numerous healthcare issues.
