Bio: Muna Khan has been at the Mayo Clinic for over 18 years. He started in the Department of Finance as a Revenue Analyst and supported various Revenue Cycle functions before joining Management Engineering & Consulting, Mayo Clinic’s internal consulting group. Muna has extensive experience in business consulting, strategy and health information technology – primarily focusing on design, planning, implementation and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) and other clinical applications. He has led lab utilization management efforts at Mayo Clinic using clinical decision support and has published on this topic.
Muna served as a voting member of the Electronic Health Record and Revenue Cycle Management Selection Committee. He was actively involved in developing business plans for Mayo Clinic’s Office of Information and Knowledge Management and also served as an inaugural member of Mayo Clinic Rochester’s Clinical Decision Support Committee.
Muna currently serves as the President of the Minnesota Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Chapter. He has an MBA from the Carlson School of Management in Strategic Management and an MPH from Emory University.
