Bio: Dr. Mike Bonham is a physician scientist with a passion for providing leadership around the convergence of fast moving advances in artificial intelligence, digitization, and informatics that will transform healthcare. Prior to joining Proscia, Mike was lab director and product manager for a consumer healthcare startup called Driver. While at Driver, he utilized Proscia’s Concentriq digital pathology platform from the customer side to develop a remote pathology workflow process for genomic analysis, began a digital pathology consultation service between China and the US, and enabled remote pathology evaluation between China and the US for clinical immunohistochemsitry and genomic assays. Before Driver, Dr. Bonham was a director of pathology at Genomic Health where he oversaw clinical lab operations, diagnostic pathology, and medical affairs to support the Prostate Oncotype Dx GPS assay. While at Genomic Health, he also provided the vision for leveraging digital pathology tools to enable the operational scale up of its molecular diagnostic testing process. He was a lead team member in a joint development project with Philips Healthcare, which delivered a unique and innovative digital pathology solution to optimize pre-analytical genomic specimen processing. Mike completed a pathology residency and two pathology fellowships at UCSF, including a specialized focus in prostate pathology. Dr. Bonham went to medical school at the University of Washington, where he also obtained a PhD in Genomic Sciences. He is a native of Washington, DC and upstate New York.
