Bio: Maureen Harte has a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. After working 10 years in the clinical laboratory, Harte began working with Johnson & Johnson and was one of the founding members of the ValuMetrix Services Group at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. She spent 11 years training and mentoring Lean Six Sigma projects resulting in greater than $40 million in savings to those organizations. Harte formed HartePro Consulting in order to broaden the reach of her process improvement knowledge and make it accessible to all industries and facilities of all sizes.
In addition to Lean Six Sigma training and consulting, Harte has expertise in value marketing. She uses these improvement methodologies to identify and highlight, through data, the value of products and organizations, allowing them to stand out among the competition. Since starting HartePro Consulting in 2011, Harte has kept her expertise in the clinical laboratory while expanding her value marketing reach and Lean Six Sigma training and expertise to LIMS companies and bioscience companies, as well as laboratories conducting genetic seed testing, food pathogen testing, anatomic pathology testing, human genetics, and forensics testing.
Maureen is published online in Food Safety Magazine in an article detailing a study with an innovative application of the failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), an important tool within the Lean Six Sigma roadmap.
