2021 EXECUTIVE WAR COLLEGE
Update on plans for a
live conference in 2021
Dear Lab Professional,
Even as you read this, SARS-CoV-2 case counts remain at high levels.
Meanwhile, many states or localities continue to impose different levels of lockdowns and restrictions on citizens and businesses so as to contain SARS-CoV-2 and prevent further infections.
All of this means that our long-standing intent to conduct an on-site 2021 Executive War College on Laboratory and Pathology Management remains uncertain.
At the same time, we know that many of you in management and leadership positions at your respective laboratory organizations remain under travel bans. Six- and seven-day work weeks in your labs continue to be the norm.
At the same time, a large number of you have reached out to us personally, encouraging us to organize and produce a live Executive War College event in 2021 as soon as the pandemic releases its grip on the nation, a more normal daily existence returns, and it is viewed as safe for live meetings, conferences, and workshops to resume.
This update is to alert you to our commitment to be nimble and to organize a timely, relevant live Executive War College event as soon as there is recognition that the pandemic has passed.
Our guidance for your planning is this: though our original Executive War College event dates of April 27-28 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans have not worked out— if at any point later this year the pandemic subsides, the government relaxes restrictions, and lab professionals are again allowed to travel for educational events, we will organize a 2021 Executive War College on the fastest timeline possible. It is feasible to line up a hotel and a city for almost any date remaining in 2021 on short notice.
The bottom line is that within about 120 to 150 days of the pandemic’s recognized end, we are fully prepared to organize and produce a timely and relevant Executive War College.
Stay tuned for updates! Meanwhile, the entire Executive War College staff extends its heartfelt appreciation to all of you for your communications, and for your continued support of this most important industry event.
